VILE VILLAINS
Sinestro, a name that brings images of treachery and untold evils.  Sinestro began as one of the best Green Lanterns.  He helped train a young Hal Jordan.  He also let the power and prestige of being a Green Lantern corrupt him.
He believed himself a man of order.  He was right, and not to be questioned.  He used his power to usurp power over his home planet of Korugar.  He believed he brought about a new era of order.  He did, but through totalitarianism and fear.
Eventually, Sinestro was apprehended and punished.  Stripped of his power ring, he was banished to the Anti-Matter Universe of Qward.  There he met the antithesis of the Guardians, the Weaponers of Qward.  In the realm of Qward, evil is cherished, and conquest noble.
In Sinestro, they found a willing allie in their desire to overthrow the Guardians.  To accomplish this, they fitted Sinestro with a yellow power ring.  A perfect weapon, since the power rings of the G.L.C. was powerless against anything yellow.
Sinestro, then became an agent of choas and destruction, commiting many crimes, the worst of which being the destruction of Kilowog's homeworld.
Now, as the years have progressed, Sinestro has grown a group of followers, weilding rings as powerful as his own.  The one thing that the G.L.C. has going for it is the green rings no longer have a weakness to that which is yellow.
Star Sapphire,  one of Hal's greatest enemies, and yet a love interest.  Carol Ferris, Hal's love interest and boss,  was given the star sapphire which was the symbol of the queen of the Zamorians.  The sapphire then possessed Ferris, causing her to have the personality of the queen of the Zamorians.  She instantly had intense hatred for Green Lantern.  Eventually Hal was able to defeat  her.  As with most villians, she would resurface time and time again.
On one dark day, Star Sapphire murdered Katma Tui, Green Lantern from Korugar and wife of John Stewart.
Eventually,  Carol Ferris was freed, once and for all, from the curse of Star Sapphire because of the actions of Hal Jordan.  They, unfortunately, never married.
Recently, it has been revealed that there is a vast number of Star Sapphires, and Carol is back under the influence.  Will they all prove to be as lethal as the original Star Sapphire remains to be seen.

Evil Star, an ancient scietist from another world.  By all accounts, this brilliant scientist was a good man, until he invented the Star Band, a weapon similar to the power ring.   The Star Band has one fatal flaw, it compels its wearer to become evil.  So this once good scientist became obsessed with eternal youth.  For this he laughingly watched his wife, son, and entire world die.
Aided by his semi-clones, the Starlings, Evil Star spreads a reign of terror all over the galaxy.
The Anti-Green Lantern Corps.  The Qwardian answer to the G.L.C. was this group of genetically engineered Qwardians.  They lived as long as the charge on their rings.  They were developed to having incredibly strong wills.  Their will, to destroy the G.L.C. and the Guardians, with these elimated, conquering the Matter Universe would not be a problem.
Their power rings equalled those of the G.L.C., the only difference being that instead of verdant energy being projected, it was a black shadowy beam.
There was a cataclysmic battle.  Ultimately, the battle was won when the Qwardian's black central power battery was destroyed by Hal Jordan, Katma Tui, and Arisia.

Qwardians, the ultimate enemy of the G.L.C.
In their Anti-Matter Universe, Evil is a virtue.  Good is condemned.  The Green Lantern Corps has been a perpetual thorn in their side, particularly Hal Jordan.
Hal Jordan, the negative Green Lantern.  Actually a dark energy clone of Hal created by Eclipso.  He was composed basically of the dark side of Hal.  Everything that Hal hated was magnified.  This version of Hal longed for the destruction of the positive Hal so he could be free to do as he wished with no moral constraints.
His red power ring was equal in power to the positive Hal, except that which was purple.  Fortunately, Hal figured this out and was able to eradicate this threat forever.

Power Ring refers to two indviduals.  One from Earth 3, an alternate Earth where only villains received super powers.  The other from the Anti-Matter Universe of Qward.  Both are deadly.
Their powers were identical to Hal Jordan's in every way.
Power Ring along with Ultraman, Johnnie Quick, Owlman, and Superwoman, all members of Earth 3's Crime Syndicate of America.
The Power Ring of Qward.
Yellow Lantern, the bizarro world's version of Green Lantern.  He is more a pest than a villain.  His power's lasted only 24 hours.  He never recharged his ring.
The interesting weakness to his ring's power, anything that is green.
VILE VILLAINS
The Manhunters, although banished by the Guardians, many years ago, have proven to be a threat to the Corps.
The Manhunters are relentless and will exhaust any means to obtain their goals.  They have now allied themselves with the Sinestro Corps and are led by the Cyborg Superman Hank Henshaw who now leads them as their new Grandmaster.

The mad Lord Malvolio of the Green Flame.
His father was a Green Lantern over 200 years ago.  In a fit of rage, Malvolio murdered his father and stole his power ring.  He has used it to be savior and destroyer.  His will power is incredible.  What he lacks in ring power, which seems to lack the usual yellow weakness, he makes up for in physical strength.
Green Lantern from Earth-A.  Monk Loomis became the Green Lantern of Earth  through the workings of Earth 1's evil Johnny Thunder.  Green Lantern was a member of the short-lived, Lawless League of America.
Laira, formerly a Green Lantern, but stripped of the title when she murdered Sinestro Corps member Amon Sur when he was in the act of surrendering.
A new corps is being formed, based on the emotion of rage, and right now Laira is replete with it.  It is most disconcerting to see a once honorable member of the GLC give in to blind rage.
The Red Lantern Corps has thus far proven to be more deadly then the Sinestro Corps.
The Sinestro Corps, led by Sinestro and the Anti-Monitor.  This is the greatest force to date to go up against the GLC.
Althoug defeated in their most recent ring war, resulting in the "death" of the Anti-Monitor and the capturing of Sinestro.  It is just a matter of time before this force to be reckoned with must be reckoned with again.
Black Hand, once a minor villain, with a device that could syphon off the power from Green Lantern's ring has even more disturbing abilities now.
After a battle with the Spectre, which Hal was temporarily, he has the ability to kill just by being in close proximity to an individual.
Recently he has been given a ring and is creating a Black Lantern Corps from the dead bodies of fallen heroes and villains.  With the powerful entities who have recently fallen, coupled with a power ruing of unknown power, we may have the worst threat to the universe yet!
Agent Orange, keeper of the orange light of greed.  This individual is a force to be reckoned wth.  He has a ring as potent as others, but his corps consists of only one living member, himself.  His "corps" are energy constructs of his victims.  He commits the ultimate identity theft.
