HEROES
Hal Jordan is unquestionably, the greatest Green Lantern of them all.  He defined the term fearless.  He set the standards to which all G.L.s aspired to.  This was the character who I aspired to be.  When I was a young child, I hoped and hoped that one day, I would look under my bed and find a power battery there!
Hal Jordan was adventurous and confident.  Hal overcame all obstacles, no matter the severity of the situation.  He was, indeed, a super hero.
Guy Gardner is unqestionabley one of the rudest Green Lanterns.  He defined the term jerk, however, in a fight to the finish, he is the one man you want watching your back.
Guy is the type that shoots first, ask questions later.  He heads fists first in situation without weighing the consequences.  Guys volatile temprement has gotten him into trouble on more than one occasion.  The reason for his behavior is believed to be because of a brain injury suffered while trying to charge his ring to a faulty power battery.
Hal Jordan had this to say about Guy, "You may be a brain damaged thug, but you're our brain damaged thug."
John Stewart is a man who has truly known sorrow. In the beginning of his career as a Green Lanter he was a man with a lot of anger and a lot of arrogance.  His angry attitude brought him into conflict with Hal on several occasions.
He mellowed after his marriage to Katma Tui of Korugar, a fellow Green Lantern.  His happiness was short lived when his wife was murdered by the venomous Star Sapphire.
The most devastating blow came when he and Jonn Jonnz, the Martian Manhunter went to deactivate a bomb capable of destroying an inhabitated planet.  John decided he could handle it alone because he had experience in such things, he was, after all, a Green Lantern.
After encasing Jonn Jonnz in a green energy construct, Stewart went looking for the bomb.  He found it, with about three seconds left on the detonator.  To his horror, he discovered the bomb was painted yellow, the one weakness of the power ring from which all Green Lantern's derive their power.  Stewart was helpless, and thus a planet, with its inhabitants was destroyed.

Katma Tui, Green Lantern from Korugar.  She received her appointment as a Green Lantern after the trial of the renegade, Sinestro.
Tui was a passionate woman with strong beliefs.
She fell in love with, and eventually married, John Stewart.  Their wedded bliss was too short lived when Katma Tui was murdered by Star Sapphire.
Alan Scott, the golden age Green Lantern.  He was Earth's first known Green Lantern.  Although his powers were identical to that of any other member of the Green Lantern corps, his source of power and his rings weakness was different.
His power came from a fragment of the Starheart, mentioned on the history page, that fell to Earth.  Overtime it was shaped into a green lantern.  Scott had no power over anything made from wood.  This is because the power was magically based, not scientifically based.
Scott was never a member of the Green Lantern Corps, he only learned of their existance after meeting Hal Jordan.
Jade, the daughter of Alan Scott.  She was a mutant born with the same abilities as her father.  She had a starshaped birth mark on her left hand, the shape of a star, believed to be a sign of the Starheart.  She is "currently" deceased.
Arisia, one of the junior members of the Green Lantern Corps. and one time love interest of Hal Jordan.
Kilowog, the trainer of the Green Lantern Corps.  He was a close friend of Hal Jordan.
His home planet was destroyed by the evil Sinestro.  He was very much a passionate individual never finding a place where he felt he truly belonged, other than the Corps.
At one time, he hoped to win the love of Arisia, unfortunately for him, it was never to be.

Larvox, one of the strangest looking Green Lanterns.  He has been a member of the Corps for many years.  He hails from the planet Sputa, an appropriate name for the home of a giant bacteria like creature.  He has a great intelligence that his served the Corps well.
Chaselon, a crystaline based life form from the planet Barrio III.  His physique makes him suitable for missions in hostile environments.  He is also gifted with 13 senses, 8 more than humans.  Now a member of the feared Alpha Lanterns.
Kreon, warrior chieftain from another world.  He was a warrior dedicated to the ending of wars.  This brought him into conflict with his own race.   His values earned him a place in the Green Lantern Corps.  He died in the most recent ring war against the SInestro Corps.
Boodikka, an amazon like warrior from Bellatrix.  Her attitude was much like Guy Gardner's, bad.  She has since been surgically altered and is a member of the feared Alpha Lanterns.
Aa and Amanita, the most non-warrior like Green Lanterns.  Both are artistic visionaries.  Their artistic visions have aided the Corps on more than one occasion.
Tomar-Tu, brother of the legendary Tomar-Re.  Tomar-Tu's courage during the Mosaic crisis earned him a spot in the Green Lantern Corps.  His brother would have been proud.
